The Parish Giving Scheme

We would recommend the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) if you wish to support Beccles Parish financially. The Parish Giving Scheme is simple and secure and allows you to make both regular and one-off gifts.

Give through the Parish Giving Scheme

The Parish Giving Scheme has been set up to manage giving safely and simply. Gifts made through the scheme use a Direct Debit. With your permission, the Parish Giving Scheme are able to reclaim the Gift Aid for our parish, greatly reducing the administrative burden for our treasurers.

It is also easy to protect your donation from inflation if you choose. The Parish Giving Scheme will calculate the difference and notify you each year in advance to ask if you are happy to increase your gift by the cost of living.

There are three easy and secure ways to donate to your church through the Parish Giving Scheme. You can set up your Direct Debit online or call the Parish Giving Scheme and they will take you through it, step by step. Please contact the Parish Office if you have any questions about the scheme.

Giving Online

You can manage your giving to Beccles Parish through the Parish Giving Scheme website.

Begin by clicking the button with your church from the list below or click St Michael’s and St Luke’s if you don’t have a preference.

When you arrive on the page for your chosen church, simply click on the ‘Regular Giving’ button and follow the instructions on screen to set up your regular gift.

First, you will be asked to set up and activate a Parish Giving Scheme website account so that you can log-in securely.

Next, you’ll be guided through a simple form to provide your personal bank details, the value and frequency of your gift, choose whether you’d like to add Gift Aid, choose to increase your gift annually by the rate of inflation, and decide whether you would prefer to give anonymously. It only takes a few minutes to complete these steps online. Then, you’ll be able to log-in at any time to review your giving and personal details.

By Phone

If you prefer, you can manage your regular giving to Beccles Parish by phoning the Parish Giving Scheme.

To set up a new regular gift, you will need to have your personal bank account details, the name of your church and the `Parish Code’ (see below).

Then simply call the Parish Giving Scheme on 0333 002 1271, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, and they will take all the information they need to complete your Direct Debit instruction for you. They will also ask about your preferences for opting in to Gift Aid, if you are eligible, and whether you would like to increase your gift annually by the rate of inflation.

The call usually takes about 10 minutes to complete. You will then be sent confirmation of your new gift by post or email.
